BACCO’S WINE & CHEESE

Bacco’s Wine & Cheese is an independently owned wine shop, deli, and specialty food store founded in 2010 by Bob Bacco, whose decades in the wine world shaped the way we still do things today.

Wine is at the center of what we do. Our shelves are deliberately curated, focused on producers who farm responsibly and make wines that reflect place rather than trend. These are bottles chosen for balance, character, and how they actually drink—not how loudly they announce themselves.

Food matters just as much. We offer a full deli with thoughtfully made sandwiches, a true cut-to-order cheese counter, and cheese and charcuterie boards made to order for gatherings of all sizes.

We also create custom gift baskets for any occasion, each assembled with the same attention we give everything else. Online ordering is available, with advance notice encouraged for catering and boards.

You’ll find us on St. James Avenue in Back Bay, just steps from the Public Garden and a little removed from the rush. We like it that way.

We’re here because we care—about what’s on the shelf, who made it, and the people we get to share it with. That’s what’s kept us going, and that’s what still matters most.

Meet Bob

After years of working for other people in the specialty grocery world, Bob struck out on his own in 2010. He’s learned a lot along the way—about wine, food, and running a small business—but we can’t say he’s gotten much more serious.

  • Yes. Sandwiches, cheese, charcuterie boards, and gift baskets are all available for online ordering.

  • Yes. We can ship cheese and gift baskets throughout the continental U.S.

    Wine shipping is limited to within Massachusetts.

  • We do. Local delivery is available within a half-mile radius for a flat rate of $10.

    For deliveries beyond walking distance, we work with a local courier—just reach out, and we’ll arrange a quote.

  • We do. Gift baskets can be tailored for nearly any occasion and ordered in advance for in-store pickup, local delivery, courier delivery, or shipping.
