As Pursued by Bear approaches its 15th year in production, we took the opportunity to revisit the blend that started it all. The 2016 Bear Cub is a loving return to the early style of our flagship wine, Pursued by Bear Cabernet Sauvignon. Like those earlier vintages, the Cub is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominate wine blended with a small percentage of Syrah to enhance the mid-palate.
Sourced from many of the same vineyards as Pursued by Bear and aged in predominately new French oak barrels, the Cub is youthful and vibrant, approachable as a youngster with its bright, fresh fruit but also with enough backbone to age beautifully.
